SHE FOUNDATION

The SHE Foundation, Inc.® was incorporated and received its 501(c)(3) in 2004. An acronym for Supporting Health & Education, it serves as a separate philanthropic arm to Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.® The foundation is designed to distribute scholarship funds and other charitable donations, including funding to organizations that qualify as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.



​Scholarship Program

The goal of the scholarship programs, including the Ebony Pearl Scholarship Program, is to ensure that the foundation is in compliance with our mission statement to affect social change and enhance the quality of life for the scholarship recipients. Through this program, it is our aim to provide scholarship assistance to young ladies in the following categories:



1)  High School graduating juniors and seniors.
2)  Undergraduate and graduate women currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning.
3)  Chapters of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.

 

Youth Empowerment Summit (Y.E.S.)

Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc. and Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. partner at the annual national conventions to host the Youth Empowerment Summit. Its purpose is to empower young women and men to achieve their full potential by participating in teen-centered panel discussions, workshops, live entertainment, and  guest speakers. The goal of the youth summit is to build self-esteem, hone leadership ability, promote academic excellence, and inspire young people within the urban communities to become leaders and advocates in steering their peers and communities forward.
